A review of classInt (0.1-14)

classInt does what it says.

classInt is a small but excellent package that includes methods to calculate intervals in continuous data and select color palettes to use in the illustration of these intervals. While it has been developed for use in geographic mapping, the functions may be handy in any situation where intervals are to be calculated. The comprehensive set of methods available allows users to select interval calculation on generally accepted criteria and avoid the use of arbitrary intervals. Anyone wanting to look beyond the interval calculation methods available in the core set of R packages should check out classInt.
